Macleay Valley MTB hosted the final round of their Coastal Series after mix of weather events throughout the year. Super dry conditions met the competitors. The dry and dusty trails were enhanced by the warming day, potentiality pushing riders close to their limit.
Our accommodating hosts MVMTB got us out early on the track. Our small but diverse group of 4hr rider set off at a comfortable pace, being the lead rider meant we cleared the trail of cobwebs.
The course had a combination of previous trails, getting away from the event hub it was all smooth switchbacks. As we crossed towards the more eastern trails it became more rocky, then we entered some new-to-us trail. Probably the highlight of the day, a granny-gear switchback climb. It was nice to get some tech climbing and the smooth fast "Halloween-esk" trails immediatly after were a nice touch too.
As the 2hr riders joined in, and the Super Juniors, it was good to have the extra riders on the trail, chase down a few wheels. We managed to pass most of the 2hr riders, but our Grafton team mates were putting in some solid efforts, only catching them at the BBQ and presentation.
All of SupaVest Racing got on the top step of our respective podiums, and for the 2025 Series.
Results for MVMTB events can be found here. Thanks to MVMTB.
Jacks Ridge host their super competitive Summer Series starting in November, details on their Facebook and EntryBoss Page.
