Round 2 - Jacks Ridge Summer Series

Jacks Ridge hosted the second round of their Summer Series over the weekend. We missed the first round due to other commitments and we were really looking forward to getting back on the trails. Some mixed of weather conditions in the 48hrs prior to race start had a few riders questioning, but we know Jacks is a superbly well draining trail. Hero dirt conditions met the competitors on race morning. The near perfect morning enhanced the trail and pushed the riders to perform to their best.

A quality group riders were on the start-line and from the start gun everyone set off at at race-pace into the single-track.

The course was the usual manicured trails that Jacks Ridge is known for. Quality smooth flowing trail. It was an absolute blast to fly along the trails and it seemed everyone around us was having plenty of fun too.

In the two or so hours of racing we rode with our Grafton team mates to begin with. They are no slouches and together we'd made a winning team of three this year at the Taree 6hr. A couple of solid efforts and we looked back to find they were no longer holding our wheel. A few more laps and we couldn't seem to bring back any other riders in front of us and it was time to settle in, at near to full effort, and crank out some laps.

Our SupaVest Racing team mates managed to snag a top spot in the Masters Womans and a top 3 in Super Masters Mens, Grant managed to place 5th just behind us in 4th for the day.
